Modi: India Diversified Energy Imports to 40+ Countries Amidst Crisis

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India's success in navigating the global energy crisis through proactive policies, fuel diversification, and strong diplomacy. During the Middle East crisis, India expanded its energy imports to over 40 countries, attributing this success to diplomatic efforts. Modi emphasized that despite oil company losses exceeding Rs 75,000 crore due to rising global prices, the government absorbed the burden through reduced excise duty, preventing significant increases in citizen costs. He also stressed the importance of self-reliance and highlighted the completion of the country's first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex in Rajasthan.
