Modi to Launch Refinery Built With Steel of 40 Eiffel Towers
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) refinery in Pachpadra, Rajasthan on July 4th. The refinery has an annual production capacity of 9 million metric tonnes, with crude oil sourced from Rajasthan's Mangala fields and imported supplies. It will produce petroleum products such as bitumen, naphtha, and petrochemicals, reducing India's reliance on imported refined petroleum products while strengthening its export potential. The project is also expected to generate around Rs 5,000 crore in annual revenue for the Rajasthan government and create employment. The refinery has a Nelson Complexity Index of 17, making it one of the world's most advanced refining facilities.
