S.S. Krishnamurthy, secretary of the AIADMK’s agricultural wing, challenged 47 legislators who defected to form a government with the DMK and its allies, stating they have not presented evidence of such discussions with Edappadi K. Palaniswami. He also urged party volunteers and people to teach a lesson to those running away for personal interests. I.S. Inbadurai, an MP from the Rajya Sabha, requested the Election Commission not to hold by-elections in six vacant assembly constituencies due to pending disqualification proceedings. Palaniswami announced district-wise review meetings of party performance in the Assembly polls and appointed former MP and MLA S.T.K. Jakkaiyan as an organization secretary.
