Vijayanagara legacy offers lessons for inclusive growth: Nirmala Sitharaman
Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister, visited the UNESCO World Heritage site at Hampi to understand the historical, administrative, and economic significance of the Vijayanagara Empire. She emphasized that the ideals of prosperity for all, as reflected in the empire, align with India's goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. Sitharaman also planted saplings on the Hampi Development Authority premises and participated in the National Pulse Polio Programme.
