Rajnath unveils DFP-2026 to speed-up DRDO's defence R&D projects

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh released the Delegation of Financial Powers to DRDO (DFP-2026) on Monday, June 29, 2026. The reform aims to improve efficiency and execution of strategic research and development projects by the DRDO. The new framework will facilitate faster production and induction of developed systems and technologies into the armed forces. It also strengthens collaboration with industry and academia, furthering the government's vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
