Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test Postponed After Paper Leak, 3 Arrested

The Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 was postponed on Saturday after parts of the question paper were allegedly leaked, leading to the arrest of three individuals suspected of being part of an inter-state syndicate. Pawan Bansod, DCP (Zone-2), Bhiwandi, led a Special Investigation Team (SIT) that recovered copies of the original question papers and confirmed their authenticity. The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) announced the postponement to ensure transparency and allow for a thorough investigation into the leak. The MSCE assured candidates they would not be charged a re-registration fee and revised dates for the examination will be published soon.
