YSRCP party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy accused N. Chandrababu Naidu, the current Chief Minister, of running a "regime of goons" after alleged attacks on YSRCP leaders during their visit to Amaravati. Jagan claimed the attack was intended to suppress the truth about farmers' hardships and alleged corruption in the name of Amaravati development. He also accused some police officers of coordinating the assault and questioned whether standing up for farmers was a crime.
