Wife, Mother, Son of IAS Secretary Naresh Pal Gangwar Got ₹1.16 Crore in Farm Subsidies From Government Scheme

A senior IAS officer, Naresh Pal Gangwar, and his family members received over Rs 1.16 crore in subsidies from the "Development of Commercial Horticulture through Production and Post-Harvest Management of Horticulture crops" scheme run by the National Horticulture Board (NHB) under the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare. The scheme is designed to promote commercial farming, but records show that Gangwar's family received the subsidy despite only disclosing one approved project in their mandatory annual property declaration. The Indian Express investigation revealed that the scheme has become a potential conduit for government funds to individuals already within the system.
