Rs 17,000 Salary For Managing Director: New Details In Rajesh Exports Probe
Low salaries for senior management despite high revenue raises concerns about financial irregularities.
Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted search and seizure operations at nine premises in Bengaluru and Mumbai linked to Rajesh Exports, a gold refining and jewellery company. The searches revealed low salaries for senior management despite the company's reported consolidated revenue of approximately Rs 7.7 Lakh crore, with the CFO not receiving any salary since 2020 and the MD paid only about Rs.17,000 per month. SEBI had earlier issued an interim order against Rajesh Exports and its promoter-chairman, Rajesh Mehta, alleging major revenue discrepancies between FY21 and FY25. The company has denied these allegations, stating that the reported revenues are correct and there is no overstatement.
