Congress stamps on the decision to go solo, Shiv Sena UBT says, will fight them too
Ramesh Chennithala, Congress Maharashtra in-charge, announced that the party will fight the upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections independently. He stated that the Congress will oppose both the BJP and the Shiv Sena Uddhav group, appealing to voters for support. Ambadas Danve, a leader of the Shiv Sena UBT, responded by saying the party is prepared to face any challenge from the Congress. Supriya Sule, another Shiv Sena UBT leader, indicated that the party will consult with local leaders before responding to the Congress's decision. The upcoming elections are significant as they mark the first time in four years that Mumbai has held municipal elections.
