CRED Founder Kunal Shah To Lead WhatsApp Globally

Meta Platforms has invested $900 million in CRED, valuing the Indian financial services platform at $4.5 billion, as part of its Series H funding round. As a result, Kunal Shah, founder of CRED, will join Meta's global leadership team and lead WhatsApp through its next stage of growth. He will replace Will Cathcart, who is moving into a new role focused on artificial intelligence initiatives. Miten Sampat has been appointed interim CEO of CRED.
