Shiv Sena (UBT) issues show cause notices to six MPs for failing to attend parliamentary board meet
The Shiv Sena (UBT) issued a show cause notice to six of its Lok Sabha members for failing to attend a Parliamentary board meeting, amid rumors of a potential split in the party. The MPs have been given seven days to respond to the notice and face disciplinary action if they fail to comply. Sanjay Raut, the party's sole MP in the Rajya Sabha, claimed that the dissident MPs had been moved to a location in Rajasthan but sources close to one of the six MPs indicated he has not yet decided on joining the rebellion. The rumors of a split have been circulating for two days and the rebels are expected to meet Eknath Shinde, leader of the other faction, on June 21st.
