Split buzz in Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena grows stronger: MPs reach Delhi, Eknath Shinde follows | Political Pulse News
Potential split in a major political party raises concerns about political instability.
Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT) is facing growing speculation about a potential split after several MPs, including Sanjay Raut, reached Delhi and others are expected to meet with the Speaker. Eknath Shinde, who led the 2019 rebellion against Thackeray, has also left for Delhi. Arvind Sawant, on behalf of the UBT, urged Speaker Om Birla not to recognize any breakaway group of MPs. The developments come after a meeting convened by Thackeray last Sunday where only four out of nine Lok Sabha MPs attended.
