Owaisi submits representation to CEO on Telangana SIR

Asaduddin Owaisi, president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, submitted a representation to the Chief Electoral Officer expressing concerns about the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. He argued that using only data from the 2025 electoral roll would burden voters and BLOs, and requested the availability of forms in English and Urdu. Owaisi also raised concerns over limited document acceptance for verification and potential consequences beyond the electoral process, including loss of government benefits or property rights. He suggested that the competent authority to address these issues could be the Ministry of Home Affairs.
