Former AIADMK Minister P. Benjamin joins DMK
P. Benjamin, a former AIADMK minister, joined the DMK on Wednesday in Chennai. M.K. Stalin, the party president, welcomed him to the organization. Benjamin previously served as the Deputy Mayor of Chennai Corporation and held ministerial positions in the education and rural industries sectors. He contested for the Maduravoyal constituency in the 2026 Assembly election but lost. Benjamin stated his intention to continue serving the public after joining the DMK.
