NCPs unite in property tax relief bid in Pune

NCP and NCP(SP) have submitted a proposal to the Pune civic body's Standing Committee requesting a 35% reduction in property tax rates for properties in 32 merged villages. The proposal also calls for the cancellation of penalties on outstanding dues and a flat rate for properties registered with the Gram Panchayat before the merger. The parties argue that this will alleviate financial burdens on property owners and address long-standing issues with property tax collection.
