Bhadarwah, a town in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, is transforming from a former terror hideout into a lavender farming hub. The cultivation of lavender has provided farmers with new income sources and attracted domestic and international buyers, boosting tourism in the region. Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted this initiative during his "Mann Ki Baat" program, recognizing the success of the lavender revolution in Bhaderwah. The initiative has also been praised by Dr Jitendra Singh, who noted that it provided a new economic opportunity for the region and proved that entrepreneurship doesn't require advanced degrees.
