West Bengal CID reaches Mamata Banerjee’s residence in signature forgery case
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of West Bengal Police searched the residence of former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at 30B, Harish Chatterjee Street in connection with allegations of forged signatures from party MLAs. Subhasish Chakraborty, a former Trinamool Congress MP, prevented the search and requested a return visit when either Mamata Banerjee or Abhishek Banerjee would be present. The CID has registered an FIR based on complaints by MLAs Ritabarta Banerjee and Sandipan Saha alleging forged signatures that led to their expulsion from the party.
