
Not Just Bullet Train, Centre Has Big Railway Development Plans For Bengal
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari met to discuss key railway projects for the state. Vaishnaw announced 61 railway projects, including 538 new flyovers and underpasses, 102 'Amrit Bharat' stations, 60 new Kolkata Metro rakes, and a bullet train service between Siliguri and Delhi. The projects are estimated to cost Rs 1 lakh crore and will be funded by the government. Adhikari expressed hope that these projects will benefit the people of West Bengal.
