India, Oman ink free trade agreement
India and Oman signed a free trade agreement on December 18, 2025, providing duty-free access to 98% of India's exports to Oman. The pact also reduces tariffs on Omani products entering India. The deal is expected to come into effect in the first quarter of next year and will benefit both countries by boosting trade and investment. This agreement follows a similar pact signed with the UAE in May 2022, and further strengthens India's economic ties with GCC members.
