NEET UG Retest June 21 in pen and paper mode: NTA briefs parliament panel amid fresh political storm

A parliamentary committee meeting examining pen-and-paper versus computer-based testing systems devolved into a political debate over the June 21 NEET-UG retest. Digvijaya Singh, chair of the committee, expressed concern about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's personal accountability for preventing another paper leak. NTA officials defended their plan to conduct the re-examination in pen-and-paper format and assured the panel that adequate safeguards were in place. The committee also prevented representatives from a doctors’ body, United Doctors Front, from presenting their concerns regarding the NEET-UG examination process.
