UP records 90% attendance in B Ed entrance exam; over 4.44 lakh candidates appear | Education News

The B.Ed Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2026 was successfully conducted in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, with 90% of the 4,44,958 registered candidates participating. Yogendra Upadhyay, Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Minister, expressed satisfaction over the exam's fairness and transparency, which were enhanced by advanced technology including AI-based face recognition, fingerprint verification, and real-time attendance systems. The examination was overseen by a centralized command center with 22,000 CCTV cameras and 5,651 biometric machines to ensure only genuine candidates took the test.
