India and Oman’s Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) takes effect on June 1, 2026, offering zero-duty access to a range of Indian labor-intensive exports. The agreement expands opportunities in services and professional mobility, strengthening bilateral trade and economic ties. The Finance Ministry issued notification on duty concessions for Omani goods under the trade pact, which will come into force on June 1. India is offering tariff liberalisation on 77.79% of its total tariff lines, covering 94.81% of India’s imports from Oman by value.
