Bombay HC grants relief to Gautam Navlakha, lets him shift to Delhi temporarily
The Bombay High Court has indicated a willingness to allow human rights activist Gautam Navlakha to relocate to his Delhi home until the Elgar Parishad–Maoist links case begins. The court noted that Navlakha, 73, has shown no tendency to abscond and is currently free on bail after securing it in 2023. He argued that he feels uprooted from his life and social circle due to being confined to Mumbai since then. The court will hear the matter again on Wednesday and ask the NIA to suggest conditions for Navlakha's relocation.
