Rubio starts first visit to India on heels of US-China summit - World

United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio began a four-day visit to India, focusing on strengthening ties with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rubio's first stop was in Kolkata, where he visited the headquarters of Mother Teresa's charity and prayed over her tomb. He then traveled to New Delhi, where he is scheduled to meet with Modi later on Saturday. During his visit, Rubio will also participate in a meeting of foreign ministers from the Quad, a group of democracies seeking to counter China's influence in the Indian Ocean.
