Setback for NDA as RJD wins MLC byelection in Bihar

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) won the Bhojpur-Buxar Legislative Council seat in a byelection, defeating the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate. Sonu Rai, representing the RJD, secured victory with 2,486 votes, while his opponent, Kanhaiya Prasad of the JD(U), received 2,146 votes. The RJD has attributed their win to alleged manipulation and fraud in the electoral process.
