AICC begins consultations with Kerala leaders in New Delhi to decide on Congress’ CM candidate
Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge met with top Kerala leaders in New Delhi on Tuesday to discuss the selection of a Chief Minister nominee for the state. The high command is seeking bipartisan support from former KPCC presidents, Congress MLAs-elect, and other key figures to restore organizational stability after the party's recent victory. The meeting considered several potential candidates, including K.C. Venugopal, V.D. Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. K. Muraleedharan, a KPCC insider, stated that the high command would consider popular opinion in addition to legislative party numbers when making their decision.
