WB CM Suvendu Adhikari to chair first cabinet meeting today
Suvendu Adhikari, the newly elected Chief Minister of West Bengal, will hold his first cabinet meeting on Monday (May 11, 2026) at Nabanna. The meeting is expected to allocate portfolios to five ministers who were sworn in alongside him on Saturday (May 9). Adhikari also plans to establish inquiry commissions into atrocities against women during the previous Trinamool Congress regime and meet with top officials of various departments including police, district magistrates, and the Director General of West Bengal police.
