Tamil Nadu government formation: CPI, CPI(M) extend unconditional support to TVK; VCK may follow suit
C. Joseph Vijay, leader of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), is seeking to form a government in Tamil Nadu after receiving support from the Communist Party of India and CPI(Marxist). The VCK remains undecided on backing the TVK, while T.T.V. Dhinakaran, leader of the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK), has accused his party's lone MLA-elect of forging a letter of support for the TVK. The Governor is yet to issue a decision on the request for forming the government, with the possibility of President’s Rule looming if no government is formed by May 10th.
