With defeat in Kerala, Left out of power for first time since 1977

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] has lost its power in Kerala for the first time since 1977, marking a significant setback for the party. Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, accused the CPI(M) of colluding with the BJP during the campaign. M.A. Baby, the CPI(M)'s general secretary, refuted these accusations, stating they were intended to damage the party's image and that the CPI(M) supports all sections of society regardless of religion or caste.
