
CM Murad urges public to take precautionary measures amid heatwave alert for Sindh's central, upper regions - Pakistan
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah advised the public to take precautionary measures as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted continued heatwave conditions in central and upper parts of the province until Sunday. The PMD warned of daytime temperatures 3-5 degrees Celsius above normal in several districts, including Jamshoro, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Kashmore, Ghotki, Sanghar, Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze, Jacobabad, Larkana and Sukkur. The department also predicted dust thunderstorms/gusty winds in those areas for Saturday and Sunday. Shah instructed district administrations to establish heatwave relief camps and make special arrangements in hospitals for heatstroke patients.
