TVK chief Vijay’s assets: Another case in Madras High Court questions loan extended to estranged wife Sangeetha

A new writ petition has been filed in the Madras High Court seeking an inquiry into the assets declared by C. Joseph Vijay, president of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), while filing his nomination papers for the Perambur Assembly constituency election. The petitioner, M.P. Venkatesh, argues that the disclosures made by Mr. Vijay are misleading and raise concerns about potential fraud in the electoral process. The petition also cites discrepancies in Mr. Vijay's financial disclosures, including loans to family members and a large transfer to a trust. This case joins two other similar cases filed against former AIADMK Ministers D. Jayakumar and C.Ve. Shanmugam, both contesting from different constituencies.
