R. Sreelekha, a former DGP and BJP councillor, has been named as the fifth accused in a case related to a controversial march by BJP councillors to Vattiyoorkavu police station. The march was organized to protest alleged police brutality against BJP workers who were arrested during a clash with CPI(M) workers at Nettayam earlier. The BJP women councillors demanded action against the officers they accused of responsibility for the incident.
