139 people cleared by tribunals after SIR exclusion allowed to vote in W.B. first phase polls
The Election Commission of India (ECI) allowed 139 voters to participate in the first phase of the West Bengal Assembly polls after judicial tribunals cleared their names. West Bengal Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Agarwal stated that these individuals were previously excluded during adjudication and have now been added by tribunal judges. The Supreme Court's directive on April 17th allowed individuals whose appeals against exclusion are allowed by appellate tribunals to vote in the West Bengal polls, with polling scheduled for April 23rd and 29th.
