
Chhattisgarh Vedanta power plant blast: Death toll rises to 24

A blast at the Vedanta power plant in Chhattisgarh's Sakti district has tragically claimed 24 lives, with one more fatality reported on Sunday. Vedanta Ltd. workers were injured when a steel tube carrying high-pressure steam exploded, leaving several others critically burned. Anil Agarwal, chairman of Vedanta Group, and Devendra Patel, plant head, are among eight to ten individuals named in an FIR filed by police for causing death by negligence. The incident is under investigation by both the police and state authorities.
