Govt. wants to change India’s electoral map, Opposition will defeat the Bill, says Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi, leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, criticized the Indian government's proposed Constitution Amendment Bill as a "panic reaction" aimed at altering electoral maps and denying representation to southern, northeastern, and smaller states. He called it an "anti-national act" and stated that the Opposition would defeat the attempt to "attack the nation state". Gandhi urged the government to implement the 2023 Women's Reservation Act instead. The three Bills introduced for amendments in the women's quota law and setting up a delimitation commission were debated in the Lok Sabha.
