Beneath the euphoria, Bihar’s first BJP Chief Minister faces several significant challenges

Newly sworn-in Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, a former Deputy Chief Minister in the previous Nitish Kumar government, faces significant challenges as he assumes leadership of Bihar. Choudhary, who joined the BJP in 2017 after a career in opposition parties, must navigate complex coalition dynamics and match the political persona of his predecessor while managing high expectations from the people.
