PM inaugurates Delhi-Dehradun expressway

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a six-lane Delhi-Dehradun expressway, a ₹12,000-crore project that is expected to reduce travel time between the two cities. The 213-km corridor will connect key towns in Uttar Pradesh and integrate with major national corridors. Mr. Modi highlighted the project's transformative impact on regional connectivity, trade, industry, and tourism. The project also includes wildlife corridors and amenities for improved safety and access to markets. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, emphasized ongoing infrastructure development in Uttarakhand, including projects aimed at improving access to pilgrimage centers.
