Unannounced gas cuts make Karachiites’ lives miserable - Pakistan

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has faced criticism for failing to provide gas supply during meal times in Karachi. Residents have reported unannounced outages, leading to long queues at eateries and LPG stations as people seek alternative cooking options. The company claims it provided gas throughout meal times but residents are frustrated by the disruption, particularly women who bear the brunt of cooking without gas. Political parties like the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) have condemned the SSGC's failure to ensure uninterrupted supply during critical hours.
