
Jaishankar to visit UAE as India steps up energy diplomacy in the Gulf
S. Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister of India, will visit the United Arab Emirates on April 11 and 12 to strengthen ties with the country and discuss energy security amidst ongoing tensions between the U.S., Israel, and Iran. This follows a series of outreach efforts by India's government, including visits by Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, to Qatar and conversations with Bahrain's Commerce and Industry Minister, Piyush Goyal. The Indian government is seeking to secure energy supplies while also strengthening ties with Gulf nations.
