Battle for Baramati: Sunetra Pawar files nomination, Sharad Pawar’s photo displayed during NCP rally
Sunetra Pawar, daughter of Sharad Pawar, filed her nomination as the Nationalist Congress Party candidate for the upcoming Baramati by-election. She was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and BJP cabinet minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule. Sharad Pawar expressed disapproval of his photo being displayed alongside Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, stating that it was wrong to do so. While senior NCP leaders, Praful Patel and Sunil Tatkare, suggested speaking with the Congress leadership for an unopposed election, Sunetra Pawar's son, Parth, indicated he would not engage in such negotiations. Sanjay Raut of Shiv Sena UBT expressed that it was acceptable to field a candidate in elections.
