Women's reservation in Parliament: SP chief Akhilesh Yadav

Akhilesh Yadav, leader of the Samajwadi Party, criticized the proposed women's reservation, arguing that a fresh census is necessary before implementing it. He stated that the basis of the reservation depends on accurate population data derived from a census and that using outdated figures from the 2011 Census would be flawed. Yadav demanded a fresh census before proceeding with the issue of women's reservation, accusing the ruling BJP of misleading women.
