Kerala Assembly polls: LDF’s manifesto vows to eradicate absolute poverty, hike welfare pensions to ₹3,000

The Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming Assembly elections, promising to eradicate poverty and create a "Nava Kerala." The manifesto outlines 950 proposals including a hike in welfare pension, job opportunities for youth, and a 'Back to Campus' scheme. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, along with other party leaders, unveiled the plan, which also includes promises of universal healthcare coverage, expanded metro rail projects, and a new medical research hospital. The LDF also addressed concerns about the proposed amendments to the Foreign Contribution (Regulations) Act [FCRA], arguing that they are discriminatory against minorities.
