Basavaraj Bommai blames Congress for delay in implementation of Upper Krishna Project

Basavaraj Bommai, former Chief Minister of Karnataka, criticized Siddaramaiah and D.K. Shivakumar, the current Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister respectively, for delaying the Upper Krishna Project (UKP) implementation. He argued that the Congress's past inaction had hindered progress, despite receiving orders in 1975. Bommai claimed non-Congress governments were more successful in implementing the project. The matter is currently under hearing at the Supreme Court, with arguments from three states completed.
