
Kerala elections: AICC moves ECI against CPI(M) channel over ‘defaming’ K.C. Venugopal
The All India Congress Committee (ECI) has filed a petition against Kairali, the Communist Party of India (Marxist)’s Kerala mouthpiece channel, for allegedly disseminating fabricated pictures seeking to defame AICC general secretary K C Venugopal, MP. Abhisekh Singhvi, chairperson of the AICC legal cell, requested the Election Commission of India (ECI)'s intervention. The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) also filed a complaint against the channel at the Alappuzha North police station, accusing it of violating the IT Act and attempting to incite enmity between groups.
