Binoy Viswam, Kerala State secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI), stated that the party welcomes all votes and has no ideological alignment with communal organizations. He clarified that the CPI does not seek SDPI votes and maintains a stance based on development and secularism. Viswam also rejected allegations of a CPI(M)-BJP deal, claiming the real understanding lies between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress. He criticized the Centre's FCRA amendment Bill as revealing the BJP's hostile stance towards minorities.
