Pakistan's federal and provincial governments agreed to implement a mobile application-based quota system for fuel distribution to ensure targeted subsidies for low-income individuals. The meeting, presided over by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, also emphasized the need for responsible consumption behavior and fiscal prudence in managing petroleum prices. The system will utilize pre-installed apps for consumers and retailers, with quotas determined by a cabinet committee and digital vouchers used for fuel dispensing.
