Kerala Assembly polls 2026: Bitter battle for nine seats that can turn electoral fortunes
Nine Kerala constituencies are expected to determine the outcome of the upcoming Assembly election. In Nemom, Vattiyoorkavu, Aranmula, Pala, Thrissur, and Manjeshwaram, the BJP is vying for a victory against the LDF and UDF. K. Sivankutty, who won in 2021 after defeating Kummanam Rajasekharan, is facing off against Rajeev Chandrasekhar and K.S. Sabarinadhan. In Kazhakkottam, Kadakampally Surendran faces V. Muraleedharan again. The Palakkad seat has been a point of contention with allegations of a deal between the LDF and BJP.
