Pakistan Medical and Dental Council says 10 universities offering unrecognised postgraduate programmes - Pakistan

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has ordered ten universities to discontinue their unrecognised postgraduate programs for MBBS and BDS doctors. The council found that these institutions were awarding degrees without fulfilling the required recognition under the PMDC Act, 2022. The PMDC warned students currently enrolled in these programs that they would not be recognized or registered by the council. The PMDC also directed universities to immediately stop offering these programs and prohibited them from advertising or conducting such programs without prior formal recognition.
