BJD ready for legal battle to ensure 6 suspended MLAs' disqualification from Odisha Assembly

The BJD has announced its intention to pursue legal action to disqualify six of its MLAs who were suspended for allegedly voting against the party's decision in the recent Rajya Sabha elections. Lenin Mohanty, spokesperson for the party, stated that they are prepared to take the matter to the Supreme Court if necessary. Debi Prasad Mishra, BJD senior vice-president, emphasized that the six MLAs violated the party constitution by publicly opposing the leadership and making statements against the party's decision. The party is planning to formally request the Speaker to disqualify their assembly memberships.
